Q: What are the system requirements?
A: PHP 4.1 or greater, MySQL 3.23 or greater. Win NT, Linux or Unix.
DynaTracker can easily be moved from server to server (and operating system to operating system) by using the one-click backup and restore feature.
Q: What can I track with DynaTracker?
A: DynaTracker will track clicks (uniques and raws), actions (such as newsletter signups,
affiliate signups, order page clicks, etc), sales and redirects (outgoing link clicks - such as affiliate links, reciprocal links, etc).
Q: Can I modify the source code?
A: Registered users may modify the DynaTracker source code for their personal use
(at their own risk), but any altered code must not be redistributed or resold in any form - including running
DynaTracker as an ad-tracking service for others.
A limited edition enterprise version will be coming out in the near future that will allow 'user accounts' and
features to run your own ad-tracking service.
Q: What type of stats are available?
A: DynaTracker is a stats-rich environment! You can view stats for any campaign, sub-campaign or ad.
You can view clicks, actions, sales, redirects and more.
Q: What does DynaTracker log?
A: DynaTracker logs the IP address, date, time, browser type, operating
system type and referring URL for all clicks, actions, sales and redirects.
Q: How does DynaTracker handle duplicate actions, sales, etc?
A: DynaTracker protects against duplicate actions, sales and redirects by using a
setting called "duplicate wait time". This will ignore any duplicates for the length of time you specify (default
is 5 minutes).
Q: How are ads tracked and for how long?
A: DynaTracker uses encrypted cookies to track and tie visitors to a campaign ad.
The cookie stays persistent for 3 years.
Q: Why is DynaTracker so much cheaper than some of the other CGI based tracking solutions?
A: Tracking should not be expensive! You shouldn't have to pay monthly fees!
